Backlit Glass Shelving Installation – Bespoke Wine Room

Project summary

This bespoke wine room installation features backlit glass shelving designed to enhance both display and ambience. The client wanted a clean, architectural solution that would integrate seamlessly with the surrounding finishes while highlighting the wine collection without visible fixings or clutter. By recessing the glass directly into the tiled walls, we achieved a refined, floating appearance with even illumination throughout.

Scope of works

• Site assessment and consultation to confirm layout, lighting requirements and tolerances

• Precision templating of shelving positions prior to tiling completion

• Manufacture of bespoke glass shelves

• Installation of recessed LED backlighting

• Final fitting and alignment of glass shelving inserted directly between tiles

Glass and hardware specification

• 12mm low-iron toughened glass shelves for maximum clarity and strength with sandblasted diffused rear edge,

• Recessed installation between tiled finishes to achieve a clean, frameless appearance

• Integrated LED backlighting providing even illumination across each shelf

• Hidden support system with no visible brackets or fixings

• Designed specifically for wine room and display environments

A bespoke frameless shower screen manufactured from 10mm bronze toughened glass, finished with an easy-clean coating for improved durability and ease of maintenance.
